I knew before they told me.
We knew this tyme would come…
We talked about it BOLDLY!
We knew this tyme would come…
We said to each other I LOVE YOU!
We knew this tyme would come…
We said who’d be there to greet you.
We knew this tyme would come…
When I asked are you were ready?
We knew this tyme would come…
When you told me you’d just LIFT OFF!
Even though we knew–
It changes everything.
There will be that empty place–
where your laughter no more will ring.
All the love we shared will dwell in that space–
It will live on in all our hearts and minds–
And fill that empty place.
We know you’ll be there– To greet us, when at last, it’s our–
LIFT OFF tyme.
