WJCT Public Broadcasting Hosts Be My Neighbor Day: Saturday, June 3, 10am – 2pm at WJCT Studios

(Jacksonville, FL, May 23, 2017); Inspired by the life and work of Mister Rogers and in honor of the new generation of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, WJCT Public Broadcasting hosts Be My Neighbor Day, a fun-filled festival Saturday, June 3, from 10am to 2pm, at WJCT Studios. First Coast families will enjoy meeting their favorite WJCT Kids characters including Katerina Kitty Cat, Clifford The Big Red Dog, Buddy the Dinosaur, Princess Presto and Super Why! WJCT is bringing together community partners, including Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1046, World Affairs Council, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue and AARP, and sharing with families how to be a good neighbor.

During Be My Neighbor Day, families may participate in a variety of activities including, planting sunflowers to give as a gift to a special friend, decorating placemats to share with residents in assisted living facilities, discovering volunteer opportunities for families and learning how to keep their neighborhoods safe, and more! The event is free, but the public is asked to RSVP at wjct.org/events. Attendees must RSVP before June 3 to take the trolley ride and tour of EverBank Field as advanced registration is required.
