Jacksonville Today & the Jessie Ball duPont Fund present A Conversation with Jelani Cobb, Columbia Journalism School Dean, staff writer for The New Yorker, & noted author.

Jelani Cobb will join Jacksonville Today reporter Will Brown on stage for an enlightening and engaging conversation about the future of journalism, lifting up Black voices, and other topics that impact Jaxsons.

Dr. Cobb has been dean of the Columbia Journalism School since 2022. He has been a staff writer at The New Yorker since 2015. He received a Peabody Award for his 2020 PBS Frontline film Whose Vote Counts? and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Commentary in 2018.
