The Caregiver Journey: Caring for Yourself

As part of the CAREGIVING national initiative, this lunch and learn provided practical information on how caregivers can take care of themselves. Subject matter experts addressed dealing with burnout and anxiety, ambiguous and anticipatory grief, and methods for maintaining good mental health.

This lunch and learn featured:

  • Anticipatory Grief: Relationships & Interventions – Mary Beth Hunt, social work manager for long-term care, Community Hospice and Palliative Care
  • Maintaining Good Mental Health – Jeannie Chapman, System Administrator for Spiritual Care, Baptist Health
  • Laughter Yoga – Amanda Jones, Florida Dept of Elder Affairs
