WJCT and the Jacksonville Public Libraries are collaborating to capture the oral histories of the Northeast Florida community through Voices of the First Coast.
The project is modeled after the nationwide story collecting initiative, StoryCorps. Interested citizens have the opportunity to share their experiences through 40-minute, two-person interviews. The stories on this page are edited clips selected from more than 80 interviews recorded this summer. This project is made possible through a grant from the Florida Humanities Council with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
