So what is a Girls’ Day Out: Good For You conference day like?
At the morning registration, attendees receive a beautiful gift bag. Bags are filled with educational materials and gifts that are provided by local sponsors.
During the continental breakfast, attendees review their programs and choose the breakout sessions to attend for the day. Attendees have time to visit the sponsor booths, many health screenings and demonstrations.
Attendees convene in the grand ballroom for a welcome from Michael Boylan, President & CEO of WJCT, and TBD, Honorary Chair Person, followed by a yoga demonstration and the morning keynote. This year’s morning keynote speaker is Mai Phan, Celebrity Chef.
Following the morning keynote presentation, attendees head to breakout sessions. These sessions cover a multitude of topics—stroke with Baptist Health Stroke Center, Money Boot Camp with VyStar Credit Union, hormone health with North Florida OB/GYN and self defense with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, among many others. Attendees can attend the breakout sessions that are important to their personal health and well-being issues — it’s taking a piece of education with you.
Attendees can also visit the Baptist Health screenings and sponsor booths. Girls’ Day Out provides a variety of health screenings, including heart health, bone health, vision, hearing and many more. Sponsors are on hand to answer questions, provide insights and talk to women about their unique interests.
Attendees then enjoy an elegant sit-down lunch with festive decorations that add to the celebratory atmosphere. This is an opportunity to make new friends and connect with others that may have similar healthcare concerns or interests.
Following the lunch, there are additional breakout sessions and time to visit the health screenings and sponsor booths. The day ends with afternoon keynote speaker who is Amy Robach, Good Morning America Host. And, last but not least, we’ll top off your day with terrific door prizes donated by many of the sponsors. Don’t believe us? Come to the Girls’ Day Out conference and see for yourself!
