Prepares Children for Success in School
Ready To Learn, PBS
Ready To Learn is a national effort to improve the school readiness of young children through the reach of public broadcasting.
The core of Ready To Learn is a full day of non-violent, commercial-free, educational children’s television programming broadcast free of charge to every American household. The daily broadcast includes award-winning PBS KIDS programs such as Word Girl | Arthur | Martha Speaks | Dinosaur Train | Super Why | Curious George | The Cat in the Hat | Cyberchase | Sesame Street | Clifford | Word World
Ready To Learn also provides extensive outreach services to the First Coast. These services include workshops for parents, teachers, and early childhood professionals, as well as the distribution of children’s books and other literacy resources.
Ask your child’s teacher or principal if your school is a Ready To Learn school. If so, come to the next RTL workshop. If not, check to see where the closest workshop will be and call WJCT at 904.358.6391 to confirm the next workshop date and time. Then share this Web site with your principal to help your school become a Ready To Learn school this year!
