Community Thread: The First Coast Since MLK

How far have we come toward racial equality since the civil rights era? What does it mean to be black today? How can we have a black President while events like Ferguson continue to occur? As PBS presents a nationwide exploration of these questions in “Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise”, WJCT will host a televised forum with a panel of experts to discuss our progress with racial equality on the First Coast.

The discussion will be co-hosted by Melissa Ross, Host of First Coast Connect, and by Darryl Willie, Executive Director of Teach for America.
