2010 is shaping up to be quite an exciting year for the WJCT Content Team! New television projects, new online videos, new music and arts radio programs are all coming your way in early 2010!

On the music side, listen to WJCT HD Radio ARTS Channel for 2 new shows; North Pole Radio and Blues Horizon. North Pole Radio features the best in Holiday Music (from Perry Como to Porky Pig) and can be heard every Saturday and Sunday night at 8pm. The show is hosted by WJCT’s Kristin Valis.

Blues Horizon showcases the best in classic and modern Blues. BH can be heard every Saturday and Sunday night at 10pm. BH is hosted by WJCT’s Andrew Wiechman. Both North Pole Radio and Blues Horizon launch November 28th.

In early 2010, listen for great new locally produced music programming on both 89.9 FM and WJCT HD Arts Channel featuring local and national female singer/songwriters, gospel music, contemporary alternative music and an interview program featuring local artists and musicians.

On the video side, WJCT proudly presents HEALTH MATTERS. This weekly program, hosted by WJCT’s Karen Feagins and produced by Karen and Kristin Valis, features a look at health care innovations and options. The program debuts January 10th at 10:30am and will run every Sunday morning at 10:30am on WJCT TV. The program is underwritten by The Mayo Clinic.

Also in 2010, look for a documentary on the unique history of Jacksonville Beach, a documentary that focuses on the colorful history of the Packard automobile, new episodes of our innovative online series 9 to 5 and Picture This and  brand new installments of First Coast Forum.

This is just a few examples of the MANY programs WJCT will bring to the community in the coming months. All in all, 2010 is shaping up to be an exciting year and we are honored to bring you local programs that focus on your life and your hometown.
