WJCT Announces New Board of Trustees Officers and Members

(Jacksonville, FL, September 28, 2010); WJCT Public Broadcasting recently announced new officers of the Board of Trustees (BOT), the station’s governing and policy-making body. John Hirabayashi, President and CEO, Community First Credit Union of Florida, has assumed the office of chair for the 2011 fiscal year, which begins October 1. David Shacter of the Shacter Family Foundation is chair-elect. L. Craig Merritt, Senior Vice President, American Enterprise Bank of Florida, serves as treasurer.
New BOT members for the 2011 fiscal year are:
- Elizabeth Cline, President, IMPACT Personal & Professional Development, Inc.
- Jorge García, President/CEO, Brunet-García
- Danielle Payne
- Terry West, President and CEO, VyStar Credit Union
Pamela Gerrish Nelson, WJCT Community Advisory Board Chair for the 2011 fiscal year, serves ex officio as a non-voting member of the BOT.
The BOT meets six times a year to direct, implement and evaluate short and long-term strategies that support WJCT’s mission and objectives.
