WJCT Announces New Board of Trustees Members

(Jacksonville, FL, September 25, 2007); WJCT Public Broadcasting recently announced new members of its Board of Trustees (BOT). Ricardo (“Rick”) Morales III, President and COO, Morales Construction Co., Inc., has assumed the office of chair for the 2008 fiscal year, which begins October 1. Robert E. White, President, Compass Bank, is chair-elect. Beth G. Gordon, Senior VP, Wachovia Bank, N.A., serves as treasurer.
New BOT members for the 2008 fiscal year are:
- Martha Baker;
- Thresa Giles, Chief Business Officer, Duval County Public Schools;
- Nancy Jensen, Division Chair of Public Affairs, Mayo Clinic;
- J. Daniel McCarthy, Director of Military Affairs and Chief of Veterans Services, City of Jacksonville;
- Josh McGraw, President, The Donald C. McGraw Foundation; and
- Sharon Wamble-King, VP of Corporate Communications, Human Services Group, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida.
Susan Greene, WJCT Community Advisory Board Chair for the 2008 fiscal year, serves ex officio as a non-voting member of the BOT.
The BOT is the governing and policy making body of the station. Its members meet six times a year to direct, implement and evaluate short and long-term strategies that support WJCT’s mission and objectives. A complete list of BOT members is attached.
