Six Live Specials Give Voters Call-In Opportunities
(Jacksonville, FL, February 14, 2011); As part of its coverage of the Jacksonville mayoral race, WJCT is pleased to announce that its call-in radio program, First Coast Connect, will present a series of specials featuring the candidates. Beginning February 17, First Coast Connect host Melissa Ross will present a series of six one-hour specials, each featuring one of the mayoral candidates. The specials will be live, with listeners having the opportunity to phone, email or tweet their questions during the program.
First Coast Connect airs weekdays from 9-10am on 89.9 WJCT-FM. Scheduled are:
• Warren Lee (Dem.) – Thurs., Feb. 17
• Rick Mullaney (Rep.) – Tues., Feb. 22
• Alvin Brown (Dem.) – Wed., Feb. 23
• Audrey Moran (Rep.) – Thurs., Feb. 24
• Mike Hogan (Rep.) – Mon., Feb. 28
• Steve Irvine (Dem.) – Tues., Mar. 15
WJCT is also partnering with local civic and media organizations to bring voters an informational website, thinkvotejacksonville.org, and a series of debates that will air live on WJCT-TV and 89.9 WJCT-FM in March.
